I was invited onto the excellent podcast “How to feel like a midlife goddess” to share a bit of my story - not just about lifting weights, but about navigating midlife with all the curveballs it can throw at us. A few years ago I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, something that could easily have stopped me from lifting or staying active. It was painful, frustrating and honestly quite scary. And I had literally just qualified as a personal trainer - after leaving a 25-year HR career behind aged 50 - when the curveball hit.
