On a happiness scale of 1 to 10 where are you on a day to day basis?


Do you feel you deserve to be right up there at 8 and above or are you settling for a 5 on a good day?


I know many mid-life women who answer 2 to the first question and who feel a 5/10 would be incredible. 8 and above doesn’t even register. 😔


But why is that ok? Why shouldn’t every woman be an 8 most days of the week? Or at least aspire to that? With even the odd 9 or 10 thrown in?


I’ve always been sure I deserve to be happy, which is one of the main reasons why I left my 25-year career in HR behind to become a Personal Trainer, aged 50.


I thought to myself, ‘what’s the BEST that can happen?’ from making this huge change, rather than focusing on the worst case scenario. And happily, that approach paid off! 😊


I realise that makes the pursuit of happiness and dreams sound simple, when of course, I appreciate it really isn’t. However, I do believe that sometimes it can be us that stand in our way, rather than external factors.

Laura too has made big changes in her life in pursuit of happiness and has even written a book on the subject; ‘Dream it AND do it!’
